Royal Cornwall Show 7, 8 and 9 June, 2012 Royal Cornwall Show Cup Competition Organised this year by the Floral Art and Gardening Sub-Committee ‘Diamond Jubilee’ Reflecting the theme, the staged exhibit must include one item from each of the four categories below. Details of your chosen categories to be notified by 1st May at the latest on the form provided when your entry is acknowledged. J a Jar of Jam, any size U an Undergarment of the early 50’s, hand and/or machine sewn B a Box, any medium I an Invitation to a Diamond Anniversary Party, any medium inc wording L a Limerick on the theme, words only to be judged Typed copy to be sent by 1st at the latest for prior judging. E a hard boiled, or blown decorated Egg, any medium E an Elegant Floral Table Arrangement, for the Diamond Jubilee Celebration Points will be awarded as follows: 20 points for each of the four items selected 20 points each for interpretation and staging (Please see ‘On With the Show 2008 for mor information) There will be a total of 120 points in all. Judges comments will be on display. Please read all the rules carefully. Judging will be in accordance with @the 2008 edition of ‘On With the Show. You strongly recommended to consult this. Floral Exhibits Barbara Reed Trophy Competition ‘Celebratory Evening Bag’ Rules 1. Any occasion and any medium 2. Finished dimensions to be no greater than 25cm, excluding handle 3. Only one entry per member 4. All items must be new. 5. All exhibits must be made by the entrant. 6. All entries must be packed in a suitable container and marked with the entrant’s name, WI and entry number. 7. A label with the entrant’s number must be attached to the item. 8. Entries must be brought to the showground on Wednesday 6th June, 2012 between 8:00 and 12 noon, or alternatively can be left at Spring Countdown at the Hall for Cornwall, on Wednesday 18th April, 2012. Closing date for ALL entries: 31st March, 2012. NO late entries will be accepted. Accessories allowed in all classes. No accessories, drapes, or mechanics may be attached to staging or backing. Novice is a person who has not won first prize in WI section of Royal Cornwall Show. Judging in accordance with CFWI guidelines and NAFAS Competition Manual 2nd edition 2009.
