Cornwall is an area of great natural beauty and many unique traditions, including its own Celtic language.

The county welcomes visitors throughout the year and warmly absorbs those who settle within its bounds.

Whether you have recently moved to the county or have lived here all your life perhaps you are looking for new interests

and friends.

Please think of joining one of the 180 WIs we have in Cornwall and be part of an organisation opening doors that possibly

you didn't realise existed.

The Cornwall Federation offers warm friendship and the opportunity to learn together. There is such a variety of subjects

and activities on offer within your local WI or the Federation whether it be surfing the net or the waves, abseiling, pony

trekking, walking, tallships, cooking, craft, music, photography, art, the environment, visiting gardens and historic houses,

travel, social occasions, exploring the county, tackling nature or national issues and many, many more.

In 2003 we moved into our own purpose built County house near Truro, called Chy Noweth an Conteth (Cornish for New

County House) and our members enjoy using the many facilities it has to offer. Visitors are made welcome. Contact the

friendly staff and they will be pleased to put you in touch with your local WI.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Nan Collier, County Chairman
